Agree, totally normal, although I feel like the younger generations are losing respect for the elderly. Have told many groups of teens to watch themselves as they laugh at, disrespect or abuse an aged person
I'm a 24 y/o male & grew up with my grandparents, living with them on & off. I actually still live with my pop, looking after him as he is terminally ill.
I don't know if this has affected me more than others but I would do anything for the elderly.
When I hear stories on the news of cowardly attacks on elderly people I sometimes think I could LITERALLY torture & kill the people responsible!
I'm a bit rough looking & some elderly people actually seem a bit surpised when I am polite & say hello, etc as I walk past them.
