Is it normal to feel nauseous after surgery?

I've just come back from hospital after being knocked out by anesthesia and when I woke up I felt kinda nauseous.

Is It Normal?

    Consider yourself lucky. I puked for half an hour after my surgery. Impressive, seeing as I hadn't eaten (without puking it up almost instantaneously) for five days.

    Nausea is a pretty standard side effect. I'm surprised they didn't tell you.
