Is it normal to feel nauseous after drinking tea on an empty stomach?

Basically, every time I drink tea (black tea if it matters) in the morning before eating anything, I get really nauseous for a while, I can help to relieve the feeling by eating some bread to fill up my stomach.

Edit: It's not the caffeine, I don't get nauseous from drinking any cola, even in larger quantities.

No, but if its with sugar your body can have a short reaction when insulin is released very sudden and quickly, if you slept long enough for your body to have switched to ketonic energy source. In that case eat more before bedtime.
