Is it normal to feel muscle weakness after waking up?
When I wake up in the mornings for about 15 mins afterwards, I can't make a fist with my hands, no matter how hard I try. Does everyone have this prob?

I experienced it sometimes, my whole arm is numb. I can't feel and move it. And based on how I analyzed it, it is because of interrupted blood circulation on my arm, maybe because i put too much weight on it and it blocked my blood vessels... But I'm not sure if thats the real cause... :)
Thanks for the advice guys. You're right about the sleep paralysis coz i experience that too - diagnosed with NARCOLEPSY recently. Narcolepsy is a disorder we are still trying to fully understand. This is y im on here -to find out if EVERYONE experiences this when waking up, or if its just me, which suggests its as a result of my disorder.
My muscles are working by tge way, i can stand up n walk round, i just cant do anything strenuous, like make a fist.
Yep. Our body relaxes our muscles during the REM stage of sleep (the dream stage). Otherwise when we dreamed, we'd be sending our body signals like "yes, walk towards that floating ice cream truck" or "grab your fourth grade science teacher's boobs" and we'd end up moving around and grabbing imaginary boobs.
There's a condition called "sleep paralysis", by which people can find themselves paralyzed upon awakening (sometimes accompanied by hallucinations). It happens when you've woken up before your REM cycle is finished.
