Is it normal to feel lost?

I've always been kind of "different" shall we say. I don't actively try to be different but I just feel more comfortable and self assured when I'm not following trends and what most people are doing. I'm currently a psychology student at university and to be honest I chose psychology to see if i could discover more about myself. I can have a laugh and joke with the people around me, play games etc but ultimately I feel like I am compromising myself. The irony is I'm not sure what I want out of life, and I feel lost.

As soon as my daughter and some young friends got out on their own, they had that same sense of lostness and not belonging even though they were all greatly loved by a good number of people. For them I shared that the earth is not their home...we will never feel that amazing comfortable peaceful "I'm home" feeling since we are all only passing through...

I feel that way too. I figured out its because I don't have expectations for myself. I tried so hard to meet other when I was growing up (parents, siblings, teachers, friends) I don't really have a solid perception on who I am. Just find things you like and go for them! Shape your personality to the way YOU feel you should be. But never choose your own morals :3 good luck
