Sometimes when I masturbate, I feel a bit like a loser. I just sometimes wish I had someone stable to have sex with. Makes me feel a bit stupid at the thought of couples having sex out there whilst I am masturbating.
I can get sex, as in one night stands but that clearly isn't always guaranteed so I do feel a bit like a lonely loser masturbating.
Is this normal?

I don't feel lonely when I masturbate, I masturbate when I feel lonely.
Sometimes I get urges and that makes me realise that I have no-one to satisfy them.
Then I masturbate and realise that I don't need someone to satisfy them and can do so perfectly well on my own.
It is normal. I used to feel exactly the same way when I was younger and single. I didn´t have any prejudices against masturbation (moral, religious...), no, but only these sad feelings of loneliness and feeling like a loser. Over the years, I learned to manage these feelings with the help of watching porn and I learned how to escape from this sad frame of mind during masturbation but it took quite a long time. So I know what you are talking about. Porn helped me a little bit, at least during the masturbation session. But these feelings disappeared completely only when I found a partner who is sexually compatible with me and my sexual needs.
