I can easily empathize with you. What you're experiencing kid is experienced by many, many, guys (and a few girls), especially at your age. However, you never see characters in movies or on TV shows that are like that, so we often get the impression that being lonely or awkward around the other sex or people in general means you're not normal, when in fact it's very common.
Life might be lonely now, but be assured in the knowledge that as long as you don't give up trying, everything will work out for you sooner or later.
