  • Sometimes I have to be careful when I take any kind of pain reliever during my period. If I haven't felt like eating much and I take an aspirin or something I get sick and end up throwing up. Like someone said, it's very important to be sure that you eat healthy and drink plenty of water during your period. You'll feel better......although when you have really monster cramps, eating is the last thing you feel like doing. I guess what I really wanted to say is that you shouldn't take any pain relievers on an empty stomach. Sorry for the confusion! (having period now and I get kind of a mental fog after taking some pain meds that are specifically prescribed for cramps)

  • Once i get my periods I'm like that. The lazy bed rest, pain and lack of food (can't keep it down) causes me to feel faint.

  • Yeah sounds like you're anemic, you need to eat meat and shiz with iron in it.

  • I get really dizzy too! It's the worst. I think it's because my diet is vegan so I have low iron to begin with. Then the heavy blood flow it makes it worse. Everyone has weird period symptoms so don't worry. Recently I have been getting uncontrollably enraged a couple days before my period.

  • I had a period once where I started to sweat and feel faint, unfortunately, it was round my Aunt's house for her 50th birthday. My mum and my cousin were concerned but I took five or so minutes to relax and breathe and I felt okay.

If you feel ill, don't be afraid to take some time to lay down, or ask to be excused, sometimes we women can't plan for such incidents.

  • How heavy is your flow? If youre changing your pad or tampon every couple of hours, you could be low on iron. This will make you sleepy and weak. Stay in bed, and if need be, you can get a doctor to prescribe you iron pills.
...cramping and all that is normal. A lot of people feel nauseous on their period. You can always make an appt with an OBGYN after your period is over and tell them about your symptoms. See what your next period does. If this becomes a normal thing, see a doctor for sure.

  • 1) Lower abdomen pain: that's called cramps.

    2) Everything else... it sounds like you're dehydrated. Low blood pressure, headaches, achey feelings....

Go drink some water. At least 6+ glasses in the next 24 hours. It will probably make you feel a lot better.
