  • People are asking if it was laced or something, but it sounds to me like you could easily have smoked, started to dissociate, and then had a panic attack. Anxiety can feel like that with no drugs at all, and cannabis can cause paranoia or worsened anxiety in some people. You were already in a stressful and unfamiliar situation, which makes panic attacks more likely, too.

Dissociation isn't uncommon with cannabis, and anxiety can makes dissociation worse. Dissociation can also be alarming and stressful sometimes, especially if you're not expecting it. Hearing your own voice and feeling as if it's someone else's, not knowing if what you're experiencing is real, feeling far away, feeling as if your memories or thoughts belong to someone else, and feeling dreamlike and unreal are all part of dissociation. The other symptoms you mentioned—blurred vision, thinking you were going to die or already had, vertigo, etc can all be caused by anxiety.

I've had panic attacks, by the way, and I'm saying this partially from experience. Although the symptoms are psychological in origin, they're very real, and it's understandable that you'd call an ambulance.
