You're totally fine with drinking alcohol but you think weed should be illegal. Ah child. XD Alcohol will rot your mind much more effectively than cannabis. Actually cannabis won't rot your mind at all. O.o
Honestly it sounds like you smoked some laced shit. Either that or you've never been stoned before and didn't know what to expect. If weed were this dangerous to everyone who smoked it it wouldn't be so widely used.
What you're describing sounds like the time my ex had psychosis from a high dose of psilocybin. Did it taste normal? It could've either been laced bud or spice blend. I've heard stories like yours with people smoking spice before.
C'mon man, you can't *really* be asserting that weed has no lasting effect on a person's mind, can you? That's the same kind of logic that alcohol lovers use to attack proponents of recreational cannabis, and it's false in both cases. Alcohol is certainly more harmful, but that doesn't make weed some kind of magical drug that has no lasting effect on the brain unlike every other drug in existence.
Careful use of weed won't harm most people in any appreciable way, but who's to say that this person isn't one of the few people who really DO have problems caused by cannabis alone? Ignoring these problems won't make them go away, and it's irresponsible to put innocent people at risk by ignoring the potential downsides of the drug. Doing so will only harm legalization efforts; every drug that's currently legal comes with a list of warnings so that people know what could happen if they take it.
I get where you're coming from and your heart is in the right place, but you might want to reconsider your stance.
You're ignoring one crucial fact in your argument... the FEW people who do have those problems usually have underlying psychological issues, especially true in cases of anxiety and schizophrenia, although some schizophrenics actually use it to treat their symptoms.
I'm rather in pain right now so I'm gonna make this breif, but look up the cannabis FAQ on Erowid. It gives honest, down to earth facts about the risks and benefits, and trust me I'm not saying that everyone should go out smoking weed. Any mind altering drug is going to have bad effects on certain people, but as far as weed is concerned it is the SAFEST. That doesn't make it failsafe, but it can't compare to alcohol by a long shot. :/
But seriously, try to find out if that shit was laced or spice. Reactions like that from weed are pretty rare. How many times had you been stoned previously?
This. Ain't nothing wrong with smoking weed, it's just not agreeable with a small number of people. But I'm not gonna start a debate on this. There's just too many ignorant people that can't be convinced out of their narrow minded views.
As to the OP, sounds like you smoked some laced shit. Your experience seems very similar to an acid trip I had once. If you've never smoked before or rarely do, you could've just been going through some acute anxiety. Generally people who are of the opinion that marijuana is bad tend to have bad experiences when they try it, believe me, I've seen it and its pretty funny to watch.
Is it normal to feel like this during and after a high?
