Is it normal to feel like this.. all the time? im sick of it!

I often feel like just giving up. Like lifes to much for me to handle. I have a great family. Me and my dad dont speak thought. A good amount of friends. Although I feel like they use me but it's probably just me. Have had a LOT of personal struggles. I'm a Christian. I'm just not happy. If even it's not for very long. I'm a sports freak. But I hate my body. I feel depressed a lot. And me and my bestfriend fight all the time and I hate it she means the world to me and she doesn't get it. So I guess is it normal to feel like giving up and like lifes not worth it. And not to be happy ever? I'm sick of feelin like this is it ever gonna get easier?

I know exactly how you feel; great family, great fiance, just got into university but more often than not I feel like life is treating me worse than anyone else; I think this happens to me because I've been let down in the past and those events; although good decisions, caused some kind of psychological scar which makes me appreciate life less and take the things I do have for granted.

From reading your extract I learnt two different things; you are distant from your father for some reason which has probably caused massive strain on your trust and emotions (well it did for me) secondly your constantly arguing with the person you love; its sucks right? - but I had that problem my friends were treating me beneath them and only came to me when they needed something or were lonely. In the end I just let them get on with their own lives and cut them out of mine...which in turn caused me to be lonely..

I am sure with age you; and hopefully me too, will find something which really shines a light on how great life really is.

I recommend you talk to someone close who really understand you as a person...

Good luck and never let anyone else get you down

I think perhaps you should try and shift your focus onto something productive that makes you feel happy. I know this may sound generic but if you manage to find a new and positive experience you'll be able to take your mind of these things. You're never too old to make friends or to find passion in a new venture. anyway I hope you'll be alright. cheers.

Im myslef going through this feeling and dont know wat to do...?I wana ask u a simple question that might help me and you as well to understand this problem more reasonably...so please try to be honest..The question is do you think you have committed some mistake in past of which you are ashamed off or if someone took an undue advantage of you and hurt you so badly that you are not able to forget it...If yes than thats the only reason you are feeling depressed..

i feel like this alot now ever since my two best friends ditched me for good i want it to end and i dont want to think about it and i feel like its never gonna get better but what helps me is learning about astronomy i dont know why but when i learn about astronomy i feel better like i am just a small human in a massive universe and my problems are nothing compared to that or compared to what every one else deals with on earth. it also helps me to read books where the person in the book doesnt have any friends and likes being left alone, so thats kind of weird cuz i do have other friends but i like to think i dont sometimes

If it's been only a little while, then yes, it's normal. If it's been going on for a bit, it might be clinical depression. A lot of what you just said reminds me of people who have been diagnosed with depression. I'd say schedule an appointment with a psychologist just to make sure.
