Sorry to hear this. Personally I'd "Acquire" a large sum of loot and head to a small village in mexico until the heat dies down.
I have family down there so if you ever need help just go to the the alleyway behind mexico city airport and go to the small food joint with the big neon signs, ask for "Juan" and say "The Burritos are bigger in cancun" and he'll know you're a friend so they'll look after him and make him invisible for a few years.
