Is it normal to feel like everybody is against you

Recently I feel like all of my friends and family are against me, when I'm at work things aren't so bad, when I'm at home I feel like there is an atmosphere even though I feel I've done nothing wrong at all. Also when I go out with friends I am starting to wonder can I trust them at all? all in all I feel like I can trust 2 people out of everybody that I know. I feel depressed quite alot and I think this is why, I just don't feel like it's normal, any thoughts?

I used to feel like that after going out partying and taking drugs. Now it never happens to me. Hmmmmmmm?

Seems familiar... I used to hate going back home for a while. Do bear in mind that maybe a portion of the feeling resides only inside your head. Try addressing key individuals and talk about your discomfort, but keep the conversation civil. This should alleviate the feeling.
Also, sometimes solitude does heal... hit the gym more often. Go for walks. Join a karate class, dancing class, clay sculpting class. Read more. Eventually the feeling will turn into an insight on yourself.
    good luck!

I have Bi-polar and feel the same way all the time. I always think everyone is either on egg shells around me, hiding thier feelings or just not having the same respect for me. It comes and goes with my anxiety!! usually Im over reacting! But it goes, eventually it goes!

I feel the same way, the only difference is that my only safe haven is school and I take only the good friends I can trust. You might want to go to a counselor for some guidance or talk about it with a trustworthy friend.

Get it off your chest, it's not good to keep things in!

we all have peaks and valleys during our lifetimes, and it sounds like you are in a valley right now.

the depression you are feeling right now is probably to blame.

take a break, be good to yourself, and if this lasts longer than a few weeks, maybe it's time to see your doc. hope you feel better soon:)

  • Well that you don't feel that way at work in a more "neutral" setting says a lot. Maybe there you are taken for who you are. We want to be connected to family, but lets face it - most of us have skewed relations - so take that at face value (or less) and go with how you feel on your own!
