Is it normal to feel like everybody has more friends than you do?

It may be actually true or not, but I always feel like I’m one of the most “friendless” people around, compared to most of the people of “my circle”. I used to have many friends when I was in highschool but as I’ve grown (got a boyfriend too) I’ve stopped being friends with most of them even though I still see them on social events or uni. Now I have 2-3 friends, and even with them it’s different. We hang out and talk way less, and I know they’re better friends among themselves (or at least that’s how I feel). I always thought it was an age thing (I am still in my early twenty’s though) but all the people surrounding me seem to have plenty of friends and people to support them. I’m not sure if it’s maybe a perception social media creates or I’m actually the only one with this issue.

Do not spend significantly more time with your boyfriend than your friends? If you want your garden to grow you have to water it.

If you go by Facebook friends, yeah. Real friends is harder to determine. If it makes you feel better there are probably people living even worse and more lonely lives than yourself. Are the dead? I don't know/care what's important is to make yourself feel like you have friends even if you don't. Fake it until you make it!
