Is it normal to feel jealous of albert einstein's god-like intellect?

The dude was certainly a genius, and I am sure life is much more fun being one, how do you feel about this?

Also in regard to it being "much more fun being one" (a genius that is) Im not so sure about alberts case specifically, But many people of incredibly high intellect often don't have fun, not always but it seems as if genius level skill often comes with trade of. You see this all the time with people who are very smart but may have an extreme inability to be social, sometimes social intelligence completely absent even. I think we just have to be happy with whatever we get. A healthy dose of average with all the many kinds of intelligence , ain't that bad. You may feel more balanced and you can always work to rise above those averages too.

Jealousy can be a good thing if you don't let it take control or hurt others, if you turn that jealousy in the direction of inspiring and use it as something to look up to and motivate you to move forward carving your own path of exceptional intelligence or what ever it is you desire, then you'll have made ol' Albert and you proud.

However, be careful not to constantly compare your self to the top dog in any field, work at your level and work towards becoming the best at that level, then repeat and keep rising. Perhaps one day, given enough focused effort, maybe you'll be of "god-like intellect" - if not, Im sure it will be a journey and you'll become one adventurous/interesting man/woman, exploring not so much the outer world, but the one that lives up top your head!

---also, intellect works on many levels, creativity or social intelligence are great examples of ones that people may over look when thinking about if they are "smart". Find what kind of "intellect" you are best at or you want to improve most. Albert einstein was obviously very smart, but he was also ignorant to many things as well, we all are. After all he didn't, nor do any of us know how to do everything. Infact,It's very likely that you are smarter then albert einstein at something. whether it be small or big, I'm positive you have a skill that he didn't.

Probably not worth asking IIN. There's an odd abundance of those who claim an IQ of 180 or higher. Which is thoroughly amusing as they are usually unable to follow fairly simple concepts.

I have no idea what my IQ is. Probably around average. I manage. I don't see the point in being jealous of anyone else's.

Not to mention, IQ is not a measure of achievements. I think actual achievements are far more worthy of respect (but probably not jealousy). Someone with a super high IQ can squander it, and people with "lower" above average IQs can achieve "higher success".

Super high intelligence is both a blessing and a curse. Yes, life will be a joy if a genius works up to his full potential, but he will be miserable if he doesn't. Einstein did well. He was very happy. Thousands of genius level people have more common jobs as doctors, lawyers, engineers, and college professors. They are miserably under challenged with their work, and are unhappy people.

I was lucky. I once had my missile software projects along with other complex systems architecture work. Those days are gone. Now, I do diabolical level sudoku puzzles. What a fucking waste of time.

  • Being highly intelligent isn’t that great. All it does is piss you off at how stupid everyone else is.

Don’t need to be smart to make your mark on the world. Help people and you will make your own life and others better. Hell just be average and you will do the world good.

Ignorance is a blessing. Intelligent people aren't happy.
