I'm a f/m collage student and i live away from home and live in student accommodation with other people and whenever I take a shower, I feel like i'm being watched. i even try to cover myself as i shower. Is it normal to be so paranoid about the thought of being watched.
yes because im watching you right now......lol im kidding yeah perfectly normal. taking a shower or sitting on the toilet are our mos variable positions we put ourselves in to feel that your being watched is only natural...its your body's way of staying on guard because your brain is very aware that you are in the most vulnerable position its instinct.
Not to freak you out. I'm one of those people that knows when someone is looking at me. Maybe you are too.

Yes paranoia is completely normal. Your in a strange place surrounded by people you don't know. But here's the thing, I'm assuming your an American. And here in America we have this whole body/shame thing going on. We should not be so ashamed of our bodies. We all have one. We all know what our bodies should generally look like. So why are we concerned about someone seeing us naked. If someone goes to all the trouble of peeping on you you should be proud. Because apparently there is something they just haaaave to see.
Unless you have tentacles or something. Then there just being rude.
Here in America we have body shame? As in we do it, but everywhere else the people are special? Who feeds you this shit?
I never said special. I did infer that the people of America are still languishing under the archaic principals of the Puritans and a bevy of other religious extremists. Who feeds me this "stuff"? NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox news, Huffington Post, Physiology Today, Time, Indiana University, PBS, Caltech, PSU, Over a million books published, ect.
