If someone is weird it doesn't make him annoying. This is the reason why are there so many bullies in schools. Someone thinks different and everybody wants him to fail.
I totally get what you're saying, but this lady was actually quite the bully herself. Definitely not someone to feel sorry for. And in any event, no one mistreated her. My happiness at her not being accepted to the practicum was just in my thinking, I never tormented her or anything.
Is it normal to feel happy when an annoying person fails?
