Is it normal to feel half racist?

I grew up around a mixture of races..white, spanish, black, asian, etc. I try not to stereotype but I find that 95% of the black people i've ever met are loud, obnoxious, ignorant & greedy. An example of greedy would be what I saw several times on Halloween. The "take one candy" sign & then you see a black person grab the whole bowl. I always give everyone and anyone a chance, but i'm starting to find that I really don't like many black people. Girls especially. IIN? Also, does anyone else feel like this?

A lot of black people I've met are lovely, polite and considerate. I don't believe it's because they're black though, it's because they've been raised well. Same applies to anyone else, because a lot of white people I've met are the same. Is it because they're white? No.

If you think it is then that might be considered racist.

Any mischievous kid would grab the whole bowl. The lazy people who didn't want to answer the door for tricker-treaters were asking for it!

I met white people that shit in bags and set them on fire to have a neighbor put it out. I've met Hispanic people that killed animals for fun. I've met Asians that beat up people for no reason. There will always be bad seeds in a race but it has nothing to do with the race. It has to do with people. You can't be half racist, it sounds like you are fully racist. And you have a right to your opinion. I'm black. My family is black. We put our candy out and sometimes it's stolen sometimes it's not. But I don't assume that all white, Asian, Hispanic people are the same because several are assholes. You should get to know black people outside of your area. We aren't all bad.

    • I've met black people outside my area, but there has only been a handful or two that i've found to be great people. I agree that there will always be a bad seed in every race, but from what I noticed, a majority of those bad seeds are black. I'm trying my bad not to stereotype & to give everyone a chance, but it's becoming difficult. I'm sure there are more good black people out there, but I guess I just haven't come in contact with them et.

I think it's how they're raised culturally. The father of a friend of mine is the same way. Still, there are amazing people amongst the black (american- and any other country of origin) race. It depends what environment you're in. It's like how some people rip on the hispanics. Not all of them are druggies. (I'm not. :D)

  • Any culture raised to find the loopholes, the easy way out, the free ride and is taught to lie, cheat and steal their way thru life are below contempt and to feel bad for not lifting them up to your level is a waist of time. Anyone who is petty greedy is garbage. If you complain about having to work and collect welfare for three people in jail and take a handful of candy because you can than an honest hard working tax paying person should feel no guilt in judging them mind, body and soul for being like that-regardless of race. And if it happens to be happening more in one group than the other than that's something their community needs to sort out or they can expect exactly what you're doing to them. It's no different than saying all teenagers can't be trusted alone together-maybe some can-but even those that can understand why their being painted with that same brush. No one has the time, patience or even consent to sit each individual down for a personality test so we judge people by past experiences, appearance and expression. You are completely in your right to do this!

that is not being racist that is not liking a behaviour a very specific group accepts for itself has normal or would you not hate if a whitie did the same? just so happens most black people behave like animals that is the sad truth ...
It's not racism looking at facts :(

First of all, don't say Black People... because black people are all over the world. The ones you're talking about are black people in your country, whichever country that it.

Because you didn't mention which country you're talking about, I'm assuming you're American (Americans on this site assume everyone is American and never mention where they're from because you guys are so self-centered within your 50 states that you ignore other countries.)

As a black woman, I used to have the same problem with the ideas of blacks being loud, obnoxious, ignorant and unintelligent. I used to get made fun of because I love to learn have a knack for speech and love love love to be polite, proper and all the works. Was it because I wanted to be white? No, it was because I felt as if I understood those types of people more. My personality, character and identity fit into that type. So I embraced it. I've taught my kids to speak proper and to value education but my son, however, he's been changing alot over the course of years and not for the better. It's because we moved back to my home town and it's a poor city and well impoverished people think and act differently than other types. They speak differently...ETC... But honestly, it just depends on the character. That's how I used to think, not anymore. Since Ive had my fare share of trouble, I've grown to respect and understand that people are a product of their enviornment along side the sum total of their decisions. I believe we all are responsible for the choices we make and the way we choose to live our lives and how it effects people, may or may not be apologized. Would you ever apologize for your thoughts and ideals?

i think that there is the same percentage of assholes in every demographic, whether it's based on race, income, gender, or which counter-culture a person belongs too. its just that asshole black people tend to fit certain stereotypes, and the same with asshole women, rich white men, hippies, and i could go on. these assholes are where the stereotypes originated. i felt like you did about black people when i lived in mississippi then again when i moved to a certain city. but then i realized these people were all spoiled and raised in subdivisions, and had to try to prove they were gangsta. when talking about real people and not walking stereotypes, i actually tend to prefer the company of blacks and mexicans to a lot of the white people i've met. the mexicans always tipped me well and invited me into their home when i delivered food, and they love to hear me play guitar. i know that was a long spiel but it's how i feel, yo.

I understand what you mean. The example you gave wasn't a really good one. Lol. I live in the south and a majority of African Americans do act this way but I've met some who have manners and don't act too wild. Some of them were even in medical programs and doing something with their lives. What it all boils down to is how they are raised. I'd say a majority of African American parents just don't care or are to busy to care.

This really upset me and I'm not even black. Is it safe to assume that the OP is white? I am not going to lie I feel like the a lot of white people are racists. And judging from this site, sad to say, I'm right! At the end of the day, we are all people. Humans. Homo sapiens. And whether you believe in evolution or not the FACTs still remain that we all came from Africa!

Not all black people act like that maybe you should surround yourself with less ignorant black people. At the end of the day the Europeans did not educate black people when they came over from Africa and it's just been passed down from generation to generation and that's why a MAJORITY of black people not all of them act the way they do.
