    I think you missed the point slightly. Why care more about the shop that sells you a copy of an item than the creative mind which produced it?

      The creative mind got the money because the shop purchased the books they were going to sell.

        True, but print runs only accelerate and shops only buy larger stocks when things are proven popular with the public. I still think the shop as a middleman isn't the driving force behind music sales.
