Do you think an eagle looks at humans and pities our inability to fly? Every living thing on this planet works at a different level. If being mentally disabled (compared to you) doesn't make someone unhappy, why should they have to put up with your pity and disgust, which very well may make them unhappy? The problem is with you, not with them. And you should really know better.
Is it normal to feel disgusted by the mentally disabled?

I don't think she ever said otherwise.
How can a person "know better" than to feel natural emotions outside of their control? As long as she's not treating anyone badly she's doing fine.
