Is it normal to feel detached sometimes

I have adult add but I do not take meds. Sometimes I feel my mind is wanting to work wayyy faster than it needs to and i get this weird detached feeling. The whole depersonalization thing I guess... But still... It feels weird and I start to over analyze it and my brain tries to figure out what is "wrong" with me. Anyone ever get this feeling?

Is It Normal?

  • Theres a particular disorder if this is experienced daily. If its only on occassion though, its pretty normal.

  • I've had that happen a few times before, where I'd just be comepletely still and my mind would start working out things extremely fast. Wish I knew what causes it so I could try to replicate it.

  • I am too familiar with this(although I don't have ADD), and stopped smokin pot because of it thinking it would help, but 3 months after quitting I still get this almost daily. Also I think I either have AS or am delusional and have made myself think this in order to cope with something. I've read so much on the symptoms and such and also read somewhere you can make yourself believe you have something, so I just don't know. But rest assured you are not alone and if you ever find a way out of this please let me know.

  • I don't have add, but i know that feeling of detachment. When I think too much I have an out of body experience and I see myself from an exterior view..

  • A lot. But apparently I have schizoaffective disorder so I guess I would . Personally I think it's when your brain is operating more on the spiritual/ God level. I think when your brain is in this state you can receive a lot of messages regarding your life.
