Is it normal to feel depresed and unloved all the time?

  • I agree, physical activity is a great cure for the blahs. I don't like running but I love my bicycle. I don't think I have ever been sad while riding.

      • I highly recommend one. I ended up with a hybrid because I live in the city and spend most of my time on paved surfaces. Also, road bikes just feel weird to me.

I ended up getting one because a roommate left without paying their bills but forgot their bicycles. I sold them and bought my first new bike ever. I also got challenged to become a bike commuter and it seemed silly not to. The timing was great because I was dealing with a lot of stress from the roommates and my husband was out of town for work. And the bus is just terrible. But the bicycle was a nice little escape from all of that. And it felt good to ride. It made me feel healthy both physically and mentally.

And I miss it. I cannot ride at the moment due to being pregnant but I am eager to get back on after the baby is born. I think that's a good sign.

        • I have heard that hybrid bikes really aren't that great? I am thinking about getting a good mountain bike and maybe get some good dual purpose tires for it. I will mainly use it on the road, but I want to be able to take it off-road too.

Oh, you could get one of those baby carriages just for bicycles :)

          • I love mine. But I don't take it off road. I just don't like the design of roadbikes. And a pure mountain bike would be too much bike for me and my needs. I guess it all depends on what you want the bike for.

And I will be attaching a trailer to the back so baby can ride with me. :)
