Is it normal to feel awkward about the content that gets through here?
I love this site, I think it provides a wonderful place for people to support each other and do a lot of reflection. That's awesome.
I know that some questions are controversial in nature... for the most part I'm fine with that. I don't like the concept of censorship generally.
There are a few things that make me uncomfortable, though... and that's the polls / questions / comments that get posted that are about highly controversial, illegal acts.
I see pedophiles buddying up to support each other over a post where the question is asked if it's normal to rape your own daughter. I see stories and comments about statutory rape and incest all the time... I know most are fake, but still.
I just... feel weird about it. I want to ask the admin if there has ever been a question like "I torture, rape, and murder people, IIN?" and was it passed through? I mean, where does line get drawn with content?
Like I said I don't like censorship, but man... some things I see make me feel like it could be appropriate in some cases. I know this is anonymous, but I wouldn't want someone to know I post on a site where its OK to post about how much you love incestuous, pedophilic rape. Is it normal to feel a bit uncomfortable this site is a safe haven for ANY topic?
