True put me onto it. I've always had a form of this, but never thought much of it. I find it irritating and often repulsive feeling (if this is indeed what I get). It does sound like what you're describing.

Even reading the stimuli mentioned in that set mine off. Fuck. Now I want to cry. Hah.

    • If it irritates you maybe you have some kind of misophonia?
Anyway, I have ASMR, and what triggers the good feeling when I'm relaxed, also trigers bad feeling when I'm stressed. Sometimes it depends on the situation.

      • Didn't know what that was so googled quickly - I dunno. It's irritation at the feeling, not the sound that causes the feeling. Meh. Thanks anyway.

    • I sometimes hear with my gut. My actual hearing isn't that great but I can feel vibrations of sound really well. It makes my bones shake and I feel it in the pit of my belly. I hate loud music because of it. It seems normal to me as sound is made up of vibrations. Why shouldn't you feel them in places other than your ears?

      • I never thought about that...that makes a lot of sense.

It's very bizarre that just coming back to this post sets it off for me again :/ Maybe it's something totally unrelated - some sort of mental association. I dunno.
