I can definitely understand your side of it. I just don't think from what you said that she meant it as a snub or an insult. My nephew is autistic and my brother and his girlfriend are very hypersensitive about it. They worry when they are out in public and he throws a tantrum/fit that other's are looking at them like they don't know how to control or handle their child. Or if he's in school and he acts out that they can say,"Oh, well he's autistic so" and use it as an excuse. I can see where a parent of an autistic child would be overly alert and sensitive about it.
Thanks.I am a lil overly sensitive probably overreacted I feel the same way like when your brother and his girlfriend worry over being judged in public when their kid has a tantrum I experience it with my son.
Like Tayler said, she wasn't trying to insult you. She was trying to sympathize with you. Your friend was only trying to assure you that it's okay that your son acted out.
I can tell you right now, nobody's judging you or your child for something that is beyond either of your control. You might get some ignorant people here and there, but they're the minority. Most people just feel like it's gotta be difficult for the two of you.
Is it normal to feel a bit snubbed by her comment
