Is it normal to fear the immortality?

Imagine if you died... but your soul was still attached to the world... and you couldn't just rest in peace...

Imagine if you went to heaven, and even though everything would be "nice", you would be trapped there forever and someday everything will be pointless and tedious.

Imagine if we didn't have the chance to shut ourselves down...

Is it normal to fear the infinity of the potential afterlife?

Don't worry - there's no such thing as the afterlife. You'll be fine.

Logic, science and evidence do not support any form of an afterlife. Heaven, reincarnation, spirits, ghost and souls are pure fantasy. I truly feel sorrow for those people who aren't strong enough face reality. This is our life, enjoy it while it lasts because thats it. If there is any hope for immortality (i wish there was) it will be through science and technology. Not praying and magic.

Yeah. I read dante's inferno and it scared the crap out of me if I ended up in one of those eternal punishments. That would blow.

Your immortality is my greatest hope. I've never feared dying. I just fear not existing.

  • both reincairnation and just "stop existing" are depressing too... it would mean to me that life is pointless.
