Is it normal to fear men and relationships

Im 20 and still single. would like to be in a relationship but have a very low self esteem. I cannot talk to guys that I'm interested in , I freeze up and ignore them because I don't think I'm good enough, i come off as rude. Although relationships seem cute I get weird about being girly and having a guy take care of me. I've been independent my whole life and think of relationships more as in insult to women. Feel like some men think women are slutty and out to take their money

  • Normal.

  • The guy doesn't have to take care of you, the two of you can take care of each other and have some mutual give and take going on. In my experience, men do get a certain enjoyment out of caring for their women but also very much enjoy that being reciprocated on a fairly regular basis.

Just be wary of relationships where you are too independent or you spend too much time caring for him.

You don't have to do that. Relationships don't have to (and in my opinion - they shouldn't) be about this.

  • I think this is pretty normal. Frankly I know plenty of guys who feel this way about relationships and women.

  • A relationship doesn't need to entail being girly and having the guy take care of you.

That entire section describes me perfectly. It's rather odd.

  • Not necessarily normal per se but I can relate on certain levels.
