I'm starting to believe so, but it really scares me. I'd rather not think that yet, because if it's true, it'd be extremely difficult for me to accept it.
Why? Society is becoming more and more accepting of man-on-man and woman-on-woman relationships. If you think your friends or family wouldn't accept you that's slightly different, but your family would eventually realize that you are the exact same person you have always been, just with a different bed preference (which, fyi is none of their business). And if your friends aren't accepting then you need to step back and ask yourself if they really are your friends, and if these kinds of people are even worth being friends with.
If you yourself have grown up thinking homosexuality is wrong then you need to look at all the evidence that says it isn't, because there's honestly a lot of studies that show that it's not a choice. It's not something we can catch. It's not something we can cure. It's no different to being predisposed to red-heads or preferring guys over 6 feet tall.
Curiosity doesn't mean you are gay. Bisexuality and homosexuality are completely different things. You have no reason to be ashamed and you have no reason to not embrace yourself fully.
It won't change who you are though, you don't have to change at all except when looking for a potential sex partner you are a lot less limited.
As for finding someone to experiment with, I understand :) are there any gay bars in your area? maybe you could go out one night (with or without a backup friend) and try even just a kiss with a stranger?
It's not that though. I know the majority of them would accept me (and the rest of them I would deal with on a separate note), but the fear of it is that I don't want to become different in that way. I agree, being curious is nice and gives you more options, it's also more fun because you have no limits since you're into either gender. Thank you very much for the comment though, it helped quite a bit.
