Is it normal to fall in love with your best friend?

Okay, so my best friend is a guy i've known for little over two years. Despite the short time we've really known each other, we seem to know each other better than anyone else. We're equally strong and smart, and we're always talking and mucking around. Through out the two years, he's been there for me through everything, he's wiped away my tears and made me laugh, and i'm always thinking about him. Anyways, over time, my feelings for him have grown and i'm not sure i'd be able to survive without him in my life...but here's the catch. We're both in relationships. Is it normal to fall in love with him whilst in a relationship with someone else?

    i no how u feel ive loved my bestfriend for the last 9 years but he feels nothing back so its normal

          i am a psychiatrist and a marriage counselor . I thank you should should tell him and maybe he has felt the same before, or maybe you two can work through it.

    That Happend to me once yet i broke up with the guy i was seeing and really nervously asked out my friend who ive known for years and after i asked him out and he texted me saying "soz but no" we never talked since. So dont rewen your relationship with him now wait!!!
