It's normal in my opinion because people like to want what they can't have. This doesn't mean it's ok though. It obviously isn't. Even if he's the one leading you on, you have a choice to not fall for it.
Also, why would you be interested in a person who'd do what he is doing to his own girlfriend? If he's capable of doing that to her then he is most definitly capable of doing that to you.
