Is it normal to fail 2 road tests and be this worked up over it?

  • I failed it once and I was pissed. I would have failed it twice had the driving instructor not been a very gossipy woman. Gossipy women are very easy to kiss up to. I hadn't driven a car for more than 10 minutes in two years and I failed the first test in the first 30 seconds.

The whole thing is nerve racking and I feel like they sense my lack of confidence but its hard to be confident when there's so much pressure riding on that one little test. I'm not saying my driving is perfect but I'm definetly a safe driver. I'm very cautious and I've taken a defensive driving course. I know I could pass if I stopped overthinking everything when I take the test. I just don't know how to calm my nerves. I do well at almost anything I put my mind to except this one thing and that's prolly why it bothers me so much.

      • Actually yeah, it kind of does matter, sorry to say. Some of them are huge hard asses and some of them are pretty chill, for all intents and purposes, I should have failed the course. Just pretend that they aren't there, otherwise, good luck and try to get one on any day that isn't Monday or Friday afternoon.
