Don't worry about it. We're born craving attention and we slowly grow out of it throughout our life. When I was fifteen, I'd kick off about a cup being in the wrong place, even though I was surrounded by pensioners whose partner of fifty years had died and they simply referred to them as "lost" and talked about it as if it was normal. But they were probably the same as me when they were fifteen. It's just life. No-one should judge you for being what they once were.
