is it normal to envy women?

  • You envy us over make-up and clothes? For real? You do know Drag Queens are way more accepted and get paid so much more than any female stripper or prostitute and are given a lot more respect.

Your downfall is a lack of confidence. Men can do just about anything if they have enough confidence and strength to fight off and gain other men's respect; because the true issue is other men and their beliefs, women will talk, but other men will actually try to fight/rape/or kill you over what they think is right. If you want to wear make-up, then be strong and go wear some.

    • [for context] I'm actually SUPER excited for an event that will happen in my city, which i'm going to perform in drag :DD

Everything you said is true and I stan you, but unfortunatelly we still live in a super homophobic and sexist society AND I'm afraid of people discovering that im a man and getting agressive (or worse), especially now, with the new president of Brazil, (im brazilian :D) who is a complete dumbass, and the increasing rates of homophobia (which is basically one of the things he said he would legalize)

    • Nobody's gonna kill him or assault him if he dressed in drag. Except maybe in Afghanistan or something.

Also, your comment is a little contradictory. First, you say drag queens are respected and paid more (paid more for what?), and then you say it's a real challenge to wear makeup and that kind of thing because men will assault him.

      • You're trying to fight over something you can easily figure out by Googling the history of drag queens.

        • Why don't you just respond directly to my points? Why play the Google card? Either they're respected and well paid (for whatever) or they get beat up.

          • Both.

Also, Google card? Okay, well then go buy a book on the history of drag queens and educate yourself on it. Or is that the book card?

            • I'm not gonna read a book on that, like I have to have a Master's degree on transvestites to have this grand debate on it. And yes, "read a book" is also a cop-out. Just answer directly, "they used to do this and that to drags" or whatever.

And even if "both" was true, it wouldn't be in the same time periods. They can't be so beloved/valued as to be paid more than prostitutes and strippers (I still don't know what for), and also run credible risks of being assaulted at the same time in the same society. Also, you sound like you don't have the faintest idea how much money hookers and strippers can make.

              • Well you already think that drag queens are widely accepted all over the world except in Afghanistan. You even stated that only in certain periods in time that drag were seen as unacceptable. So you seem to know something, and implying to me that you're correct about your information.

No. Hate crimes can happen anywhere at any given time. No. Hate crimes against drag queens are not only in Afghanistan. Prosistution is dangerous doing it alone or with the wrong people; network wisely and be safe. Stripers are also in danger of being stalked and assaulted, be safe. Drag queens have their own show and widely known for their performances they dont even have to get naked for, but it doesn't change the fact that they can be victimized too at any time, it's just the chances are lower since they're televised and have a fanbase. But then think about the men who are not known yet or trying to get their foot in the door.
