Is it normal to enjoy losing friends?

I've left for college and thus left many friends back home from where I graduated. One by one I was losing communication with them. After a while though, I found it to be an almost guilty pleasure every time I removed one's name from my phone, or refused their friend request on Facebook. I think I've come to enjoy losing friends, people I've known for almost my whole life. Is this normal?

I don't enjoy it, but I'm good at it.
    Why do you enjoy it?

I enjoy talking to most of my old buddies whenever I get to ie. I ignore only the ones I had some issues with, I guess.

as you age and change or grow, your friends will change too. that's ok. maybe you felt good removing their names because you feel good about moving on.

Same here.. But for its the avoiding part. I simply stopped hanging out with them until they left me alone. I say good riddance, but still is kind of depressing now that I don't have many =/
