Until my early 30s I was married to someone who did it. Very difficult to deal with, and even worse was her overall darkness and unpredictability. Hey parents out there: this is what happens if you don't talk to your sons about girls and the power they can wield - and talk to your daughters about things that threaten their feelings of self-worth, and the incomprehensible value of their bodies.
Thanks, I appreciate that. I'm not in touch with her but she has a family now and a good job. I'm under the impression she is doing well. I'll add that she had stopped self harming for some time before we split up.

I feel like all the disturbed people from my highschool that cut eventually switched to hard drugs. Drugs feel better.
Sorry to hear that about your ex wife. Hope she finds peace.
