Is it normal to end friendships to gain a sense of power?

You break friendships to have a sense of power/control of your own life. These friends don't see it coming either. Also, a part of you takes pleasure in hurting their feelings.

That is not normal at all. I could see if the friend had done something wrong that upset you or just plain annoyed you to death. But you aren't the good friend at all if your just ending friendships. You should really consider your descisons more wisely.

Thank you for answering maturely and actually answering the question I asked. I know it's not right but I just wanted to see if other folks did this. :)
