Is it normal to eat your flesh?

I will regularly take a knife to my heels and slice off pieces of calloused skin to eat afterwords I will wait weeks for it to re grow before doing it again. Even if I cut too deep and end up limping for a day or so I will just do it again. Is this normal?

i used to take blades and do it with my foot callouses out of boredom and then chew it, so a bit less extreme but i know exactly where you’re coming from. it’s not something i would tell people, but i think it’s normal and you might also have pica, a disorder where you have the desire to eat certain things that aren’t food, in your case calloused skin. also please don’t go so far you hurt yourself, you don’t deserve to do that to yourself
