  • 'my cat is getting really old and tender'
I though it was generally, the younger the meat, the more tender?

Anyway, I don't really have any moral opinions against you eating your cat, however, I reckon there may be laws against it (I know there are in the UK), so maybe it's not such a good idea.

    • Why is it illegal to eat your cat in the UK? How is it different to eating other kinds of meat? (I'm a vegetarian, but I find rules like that a little funny)

      • Because according to UK law, cats are domesticated and therefore are covered under the Animal Welfare Act.

I eat meat, and honestly, I do find it to be showing double standards really. To be honest, I would eat cat meat if it was legal, as I don't see how it's different to cow/pig/sheep meat on principle, as people keep livestock as pets sometimes!

        • Excellent...though I don't think that eating meat is cool in any way! It's another life!

          • I do get where you're coming from. My brother is a vegetarian and says that to me.
All I can say is that in my opinion, we have canines, therefore we are designed to eat meat, if we so choose! But I respect other people's decisions! :)
