linchpin, I complain about the same thing when my boyfriend eats spread directly out of the pack. The reason we think it's a waste, is because eating it that way, you eat a lot more of it and finish a whole pack in no time. Spread it on a sandwich, and it will last longer. It's science. :)

yeah fair call. I can see that. I just like it on its own, even though it's not economical to eat it that way.
