Is it normal to eat play dough?

Ever since i was little, I've always loved the taste of play dough. When ever some of my little cousins come over to play, i eat a little bit of their play dough.

Really? My kids always spit it out after they taste it. It's mostly salt. But then, I make the playdough at home, it's not the store bought shit.
