Is it normal to eat a whole box of donuts after a workout?

Okay so I have been having some major issues outside the gym. First off it was hard enough to get my butt in the gym in the first place, (Lol) but now I have committed myself to going to the gym everyday except Sunday. Lately I have been noticing that the more that I work out I just want to grub out. The harder I work out the more I want to eat everything in my sight. What is going on with me...Am I just not mentally tough enough, or is this normal?

  • For some reason you are sabotaging your goals/yourself - we have all done it in some aspect of our lives at some point.

    I think you need to dig a bit deeper to solve this issue; why dont you want to reach your goals, are you scared to fail, do you not see yourself worthy? and so fourth.....

      • Its hard, trust me I'm there myself. I am right on the brink of being so 'cut' and lean but its all diet. I work out like crazy but then I'll go home and make a bad food choice.... I know I shouldnt but...... yeah, I totally understand what your going through.

  • hahaha... Wow.. You're extreme!!! While meth is great for weight loss, I wouldn't say I recommend it. No, rather use more energy than what you consume and you will lose weight. If an uneducated simpleton like me can grasp the concept, I'm really not sure what you're struggling with Romeo. If you want to lose weight, eat less and eat healthy. Thanks for the reply though, you are a funny one!! And where did I say the OP should binge eat??? haha I seriously enjoyed that comment...meth!! Won't somebody think of the children??!!

  • Why does no one seem to understand how metabolism works? To help you I will explain what a metabolism is and how it works. This might shock you but you burn so many calories even when you are doing nothing.

    It could be thinking, sitting doing nothing, watching tv you are burning some amount of calories. Depending on how active you are you might have a faster or slower metabolism. When you use energy you need fuel. Its like putting gas in a vehicle.

    If you are doing less activity you don't burn as many calories and so do not need to eat as much. If you are excersising and you have not been you might have to eat more. So yes its normal you are hungry since unlike before you are now burning more fuel since you are doing more work.

    There is a simple solution for this. EAT HEALTHY! you believe when you eat you have to eat something unhealthy and you don't. Instead of believing donuts is a nutritious snack try eating an apple or some real food. Maybe some meat! Eating less is not going to help you in this case. If you need the calories you need them.

    What do you think is going to burn more gas in a vehicle? Driving across the parking lot? or driving across town? That is more or less what is going on with your body right now.

    You cant become healthy by simply excising. You have to eat right if you want to get in shape. Especially if you are already very out of shape. So STOP EATING SHIT! ITS FUCKING SIMPLE!

      • Starving yourself is not healthy. When you starve yourself for a period you binge. You are suggesting that the OP binges?

        Last time I checked that wasn't healthy. In fact many doctors would say binging and starving yourself is not healthy either. The stop eating and starving yourself method is why most diets do not work.

        Please learn your facts. People have tried this before and its not healthy. In fact starving yourself and having extreme work out can make you pass out and have heart problems.

        What you are suggesting is very unhealthy. I suggested the healthy method but you don't sound very educated so you would suggest the unhealthy method. This is basic nutritional facts. What you are talking about is a crash diet. Those work for some but often fail for the listed reasons. So those methods do not always work. Are you going to suggest the OP takes up meth next? I am sure that is healthy too right?

  • Eat less. Your stomach will shrink and you won't get so hungry and if for some reason you do, you won't be able to eat as much because you'll get full much faster.
