Is it normal to draw things from your mind?

Where else would you draw from?

Sometimes I play full movies in my head. Been meaning to write them down.

Isn't that called imagination? Almost everybody has that.

You're not special. I've seen many people do this. Usually talented artists have this ability.

Yea I make up stories in my head and have dialogue, I write them down. I used to write "stories / skits" ever since I was little. lol. You're just a creative personality.

This isn't abnormal at all. It's a gift/talent.

Dude, I think every artist can do this. Look at DeviantArt, most of these people draw from imagination. Nothing special.

Some people prefer to draw/paint from reference or from life, but others, like me, prefer to draw exclusively from the imagination. I think it's a separate talent from the ability to draw itself. It's the ability to see fairly clear and detailed mental images and to be able to retain them long enough to study them and to draw them accurately.
