I'm a photorealistic artist. I know the drive of perfection. Of course its draining. A bit of advice is, take a break. Keep the piece visible to you but work on different pieces, then after a week or so go back to the topical waterfall with fresh eyes.try a gridding method if u have too, experiment. As artist,even when u reach perfection,you wont really be satisfied, because your skills will continue to evolve, and things that were incredible and unachievable last week are flawed,dull,too perfect, lifeless etc next week
