Sometimes I am trolling. And if someone thumbs down my troll comment, I can totally understand.

But do you want to know what irritates me? It's when I write a serious comment, dedicated to the search of truth, and someone simply thumbs it down, und leaves without engaging in a discussion!

Aren't we here to discuss things? What are you afraid of? How am I supposed to realise that the points I expressed in my post are wrong, if you don't discuss it with me? How am I supposed to change my mind if you just say "wrong!" and leave?

Is it normal to thumb down serious posts without explanation?

    I will only thumbs down without explanation if the comment is so painfully ignorant that an explanation doesn't seem necessary.

    I often thumb up comments if they are saying what I was going to saying the topic

    I usually diver thumb up a comment or post, or do nothing at all either way. I try to not be negative.

    I only thumb down obvious trolls, racists and hate comments. Only once I thumbed down someone who just had an oppinion I didn't agree with, eventhough he was honest and well spoken. It felt horrible. I'm sorry.
