I've always been friendly to toads,, at least the amphibious ones. I remember when I young in Katy, Texas I would come home half drunk from partying, and there would be a toad or two just chilling on the porch in the early morning hours. I would always stop to say hello to the little guys and even pet them. I saw them a little friends.
Is it normal to do this to spiders?

My dad used to torture toads when he was a kid because he was told that toads were responsible for the worts he got.

Toads were so glad when the toilet seat got invented.
