I suspect most men don't drink wine but I'm not sure if that's the case, I also suspect it's normal. I'll keep it simple: is it normal to drink wine, eat caviar, and smoke fancy cigarettes? Since this is common with Frenchmen. Is it even normal to be classy and distinctive? Would it be normal to wear a tie or an esquire hat? Or possibly be overly proud and polite? To drink my wine with pride and, being French descent, cook a vegan cassoulet, is any of this normal?

    I love wine with a meal, and beer when it's hot. Also a hat for the sun, but no tobacco!

    its not normal to smoke tobacco, its self harm and it stinks and shows you are uncultured and have no sense of cleanliness . your hair , house and clothes will have the stench at all times and your fingers will have a yellow stain. it makes no difference if the cigarettes are fancy. it will just advertise that you are homosexual if that's your goal. you can do that without smoking. most people consider smokers losers as they cheat themselves out of money and years of life. you can eliminate half your friends you would have had just by smoking.

    If it's common for French men then it's not distinct, it's common. And congratulations your emo. Now line up behind the other three million people who think there original for acting like everyone else.

      Thank you but there's no such thing as an emo, it's just an internet trend to sell fashion. Can't you tell all the subcultures are trying to sell something? Hippiedom was made for selling clothes and music, punk is used to sell ripped jeans, hipster is there to sell jazz music, study marketing and come back telling me I'm right!

      Probably, but I'm a Frenchman so I know about the French, a lot of them wear blue and white striped shirts. They eat their baguettes with soup, and if it wasn't for nouvelle cuisine French food wouldn't be healthful, light and delicate in the first place!
