Is it normal to do not identify yourself with the country you were born?

I was born in Brazil, but I feel I don't belong here. I do not like anything about its culture and I find it very confusing and artificial. My grandparents (both from mother and father) were from Portugal and my mentality is rather European.

It depends on being proud of your birth country or not.

It's normal. I'm a citizen of the world. There is no one country that I would be completely satisfied with.

I'm English by birth and living in Canada. I have no ties to England at all. I'm canadian and proud of it.
