How exactly did you come to believing in Heaven but not believing in God?

Perfectly normal. Altruism has been around long before man invented gods.

Totally normal. We are (or most of us) are brought up with a code of ethics and right from wrong whether you were brought up religious or not.

If you want to go to heaven then being good isn't enough. Believe me or not but you have to ask forgiveness of your sins first and have Jesus enter your heart. Keep doing good but at the end of the day everyone even good people are sinners and sin is what seperates us from God and what sends us to hell. Repenting of your sins and having Jesus in your life frees us from the sin debt and brings us back to God and gets us into heaven where your good deeds will be rewarded.

you don't have to believe in God and Jesus for you to believe in that there's a heaven so you can be good and getting to heaven if that's what you believe.

Do you think of it all that literally? Like Heaven and Hell are actual places?

Yes I do. I have bad asthma and it's nearly killed me more than I'd like to think about. I prayed for a cure and it never came. I was about to give up hope so I started reading my bible and went to church. The book of Job stood out to me. So instead of a cure I prayed for hope to get through. Strength to keep fighting and love for others as he loves us. I finally got a yes and I'm happy to say my asthma is not a death sentence anymore. Everytime I go to the doc I'm stronger than before. I have to believe in heaven and hell. In heaven I have the promise of peace happiness and a healthy body despite being a sinner. In hell it would be the opposite and well pure hell.

Even my old doctors gave up on me before. They told me to quit being a musician and never do the things I love because my health was so bad. God's love and the promise of heaven if I accepted Jesus in my life finally gave me the hope I needed to keep fighting. I believe because I want to live with hope and have a guiding light.

The power of positive thinking had been demonstrated to improve health outcomes vs. hopelessness.

You beat the mortality rate for your condition. That is evidence of statistics, not God.

If there we're a real, loving God, with the power and desire to heal, you never would have suffered needlessly. Either God is so demented that he will only heal someone after watching them suffer first if they satisfy his need for praise and demonstrated total submission, or he is not real.

Bad things happen in the world because of the sin in the world. Sin is our fault not Gods. Sin separates us from God and by us me included sinning all the time bad things continue to happen that is the sad truth. I've seen people healed I know it's possible I also know he has a plan for everyone. Sometimes that plan is a miraculous healing so others can see Gods work and believe and then repent of their old ways sometimes it's not and he works through other ways. He exists I have seen and experienced his work too many times for me to not believe.

Another way of looking at this is loving parents have rules and if we break those rules we are punished. That punishment can seem unfair to us at the time but that does not mean our parents do not love us or are demented. I cussed my dad out as a child and was spanked. I thought he was mean at the time but he was trying to get the point across that I don't cuss and yell to win an argument and I don't get to yell and cuss if I don't get my way.

Yes, it's called being a good person.

I don't know. If you believe in heaven but not God, then I guess belief is not nessecary in your idea of heaven.
