Is it normal to dislike my brother this much?

He is 8 years older than me and I am 19.
We both live at home with our parents and they always take his side.
When I get in arguments with my parents he usually stands in the hall and laughs at me or makes snide comments on the situtation and it makes me very angry.
When he brings his girlfriend around he acts all nice but when she is not around he is a different person. When we are alone in the house he likes to get me angry and we fight he hits me harder than if mam or dad was there.
He hits me on the head and calles me names like fat slob.
He then tells our parents that it is all my fault and I get the blame.
Is it normal to really feel borderline hate for him?

    Yeah, your brother sounds like a real asshole. At his age, he should be much more respectful of you, and should NEVER lay a hand on you, aside from a loving hug every now and again. You aren't little kids anymore, you are full-grown adults.

    Perhaps you should have a heart-to-heart with your parents about the situation. I'd also recommend staying far, far away from your asshole brother whenever possible. He's 27 and still living at home? Wow, what a total loser! I was 23 when I bought my first house for christ's sake! I "moved out" when I was 17 to go to college, and only lived at home for a couple of years after I graduated in order to save money up for my own home.

    Warn your idiot brother that if he touches you (hitting) anymore, he will be arrested by the cops, and follow through with it! Fat or not, he needs to stop being a disrespectful and violent asshole.

    its normal as im boyfriend is 2 year younger then his brother and hates him soo much he would kill him
