It's awkward how they often crowbar it in, like they feel obligated to have a makeout scene. I often find sex and makeout scenes in horror movies annoying, because they rarely advance the plot or tell us much about the characters. I'm just sitting there, going "WHY ARE YOU SHOWING ME THIS? WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE EVEN HAVING SEX IN A CLOSED RESTAURANT?"
